Consultation has concluded
Copperas Branch Park was returned to us in August 2018 after being used as a staging area for the 35Express project. We are working on a Master Plan for the park including the eastern quadrant of Highland Village over to Doubletree Ranch Park.
A Master Plan is simply defined as “a plan that gives overall guidance.” This project has a mission to do exactly that for the future of Copperas Branch Park. The plan will provide guidance for the redevelopment of Copperas Branch Park. This planning process will set a vision for the park by engaging the community to help develop the big idea. The vision will be a framework for the park's use and development for the next several decades. The framework will allow Highland Village to provide a variety of recreational opportunities in an environmentally sound and sensitive manner. The master plan will have real data and a solid background that can insure feasibility and timely implementation. Together with the citizens input, the City is working with professional parks and recreation planners and designers to explore options for Coppers Branch Park.

The idea gathering phase has concluded. We are now in the site analysis, vision, programming and design criteria stage of the project.
Tour Copperas Branch Park digitally in the images above and provide feedback on key locations. Tell us what is important and why it is important to you. Together,
with the City of Highland Village, your feedback will set a frame of reference
for planning a shared purpose and vision to build the best park possible for
all users. These observations are important to find and outline your goals and
to focus efforts for building the vision of Copperas Branch Park.
